luis writes the following about The Outsiders :
I read the book, The Outsiders with my class. The author is S.E. Hinton. The story took place in the 1960s. Ponyboy was the character telling the story. It was about two gangs, the Greasers and the Socs. Ponyboy lived with his brothers Darry who was 20 and Sodapop who was 16 years old. They were greasers. Their parents died in a car accident. The Socs were the rich and the Greaser were poor. The Socs were always picking on the Greasers. I think teenagers should read this book, not littler kids. I would rate this book a 8 because it was fun to read. It wasn?t boring because there was a lot of action like fighting, killing, and fires. This is a good book, but kind of hard to read.
