Carla Musto writes the following about A Child Called 'It' :
A Child Called "IT" is about a little boy who once had a wonderful life. It was his mom, dad, two brothers, later on there came another baby boy, and then there was David who was later on in the book considered a nobody. David was different form his brothers. Not the different that most people think of because no one knew he was different, except his family. David was treated differently from his brothers, he was his mom's slave. When he was a little they had a wonderful life together, they did everything a family did together. Then one day his mom and dad started to drink and his mom turned on him. David was beaten and tortured by his mom and his brothers just sat there and watched. David used to say that his mom brainwashed them into thinking that David was a bad boy. David had to do everything his mom told him to do or else he would get the worst of punishments. Nobody liked David, they called him "Pelzer Smelzer" because his mom never washed his clothes and made him wear the same thing every day. This is mostly the main important things that happen in David's life, but there is another book to continue this one, it's called The Lost Boy.

I thought that this was an excellent book to read. I really enjoyed it because it was one of those books that you just couldn't put down. I thought that this would be a great book for all ages. The only thing is there are some inappropriate language for younger children to understand.

Overall I give this book a great review for everyone to read.
