Book Review: The Purpose Driven Life
Written by Rick Warren.
A religious life is one of the best things to experience. Rick Warren puts an outstanding perspective into having a relationship with the Lord our God. This book was written to expand the spiritual knowledge and well-being of a Christian?s life. It is written to be compared with the present day lives of people who want to expand their relationship with God. He writes about his personal experiences in his walk with Christ, the purposes for us being created, and our fellowship with other believes and non-believers.
Taking the time to read this book honestly has opened my spiritual eyes to new ways of looking at life and at my relationship with God. In the way that it is written, you are able to understand the points being explained as well as ponder upon these points to expand their meaning to a personal level. What I really agree with in this book is that it is based on actual Biblical verses that give a backbone to the teachings it shows. From my experiences with reading this book I have learned that Christianity is not a religion, it is a relationship.
I have read a few other books on how religion related to us and I prefer how Rick Warren explains God?s true purposes for our lives. It gets straight to the heart of Christianity without being distracted by less important and selfish details; straight to our Lord and Savior.
