Shannel writes the following about 'Salem's Lot :
The book 'Salem's Lot is mostly about Vampires and a very big, creepy, and evil house. I really enjoyed reading this story because it's very interesting, mysterious and suspenseful. The type of book you can't put down. The beginning of the book was a little boring because of all the introductions of the characters, (that's why I rated it a 8.5 out of 10), but once you hit the middle of the book; you can't put it down for anything. 'Salem's Lot is very interesting because it's about things that couldn't possibly happen in the real world. You drift into another world when you read this story. It's mysterious and suspenseful because things happen in the story that you wouldn't expect and there are a lot of twist and turns. You have to keep on reading to find out what happens next. What I learned from reading this story is that I really enjoy reading horror and mystery novels. I get so caught up in the reading, it's like nothing else exists. I get so attached to the book; it takes a lot for me to put it down. Compared to other horror and fiction books that I've read, I would say that this was defiantly one of the best stories ever. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading fiction, horror, mystery, and suspense because I enjoy reading that types of books and I couldn't put this book down, so I know that if you enjoy reading this types of books, you won't be able to put this book down either. To me, that is what makes a book worth reading.
