Abbie writes the following about Red Sky in the Morning :
The title of this book is 'Red Sky in the Morning' and is written by Elizabeth Laird. The plot: For as long as Anna lives she shall never forget the night that her brother was born. Ben was handicapped and could not do any of the things that normal babies could do. He could not walk, talk or even sit up on his own. Anna is very fond of her brother and will not let anyone get in the way of their relationship. Anna faces romances and friendships that she could not have dreamed of until one night when her life was turned horribly upside down. Again. Anna's life was turned back to normal but that was not how she had wanted it. Anna, Ben, Mrs Chapman and Jackie. Anna is very thoughtful and caring but can be a bit selfish at times. Because Ben is handicapped she imagines that she has a preferable likeness for other handicapped children and not for other normal beings. Ben is handicapped but this does not stop his from having the greatest time of his life. Athough he may be handicapped he cheers Anna up considrably which helps her to cope with school time and friends. Mrs Chapman is friendly and chatty. 'She could cox a brick wall to talk to her'. Jackie is also hadicapped and when Ben died she made Anna's life perfect and unregretable. The best part of the book is when Anna meats Tony. I think that romance and unhappiness is the key to a good book and a happy ending. This book offers it all. The book could have been a bit longer to find out if Anna finds her dream man. Tony.
