After reading "The Reptile Room," the second book in a series of unfortunate, I would rate it a 9-10,because it was very interesting. This book made me want to keep reading. This book was perfect and I would not make any changes. Once I would start to read I would tell myself, I was only going to read one chapter and then the next thing I knew I had read three. The next paragraph is about the Baudelaire's lives intheir new home with their new gaurdian. This was an exciting and easy book to finish. There were not very many pictures, but the ones that are in there tell a lot. It helps to actually picture what is happening to the poor little kids. There is a real cool snake in one. In the first series of unfortunate eventsthe three characters-Violet, Klaus, and Sunny were orphaned and had to go to live with the dreadful Count Olaf. So when I started to read the second book I was happy that their lives were getting better. The book sure made me think they were going to be living a better life but I soon found out that Violet, Klaus, and Sunny had some adventures in their new home too. The three kids moved in with Dr. Montgomery Montgomery, that's his real name, who is a reletive of their dad. Dr. Montgomery studies snakes and other reptiles. I thought that this book was going great when I read that they would be going on a trip to Peru with the doctor. Then all of a sudden Olaf comes back disguised as Dr. Montgomery's assistant, Staphano. Next, four very horrible things happen to poor Violet, Klaus, and Sunny, I can not tell you too much .When you read this book you may not want to put it down, because it is full of suprises. So if you want to find out what happens , pick this book up and read it!
