In Countdown there are two boys who want to do somthing. Vincent is one of the boys. He is a Massaai person who wants to go meet some white people, but his dad does not think Vecent is brave enough.
Elliot was picked to be the first junior astronauot. He is going to launch off in Houston,Texas. When he's up in space he talks to Vincent on the radio and they dislike each other. ThHey both think each other are dumb. The two boys meet in Africa. They started talking a lot and became friends,they hugged and held hands. I recommend this book because I like how they combined the two boys to be friends.
