Have you ever made one of your best friends the same day you think your going to die? A boy named Elliot wins a contest to be the first kid in space. When he went through training he tries to be better than the runner up Mandy, and almost dies. When he gets into space he starts talking on a ham radio with a boy named Vincent from Africa, they disagree on things like: Gods, cows, pants and so on. When the space suttle has to make a emergency landing they have to meet. They become friends and hold hands on television. I highly recommend this book because it's not every day you meet one of your best friends the same day you think you're going to die.
