Jack writes the following about Holes [UNABRIDGED] :
Stanley Yelnats was a boy living with his parents and his grandfather. They were all convinced that their family had been cursed many years ago. Stanley was having a hard time proving them wrong. One day he was walking home, and he was hit by a pair of shoes. He was accused of stealing them. That is why Stanley had to dig holes 5ft. deep and 5ft. wide in Louis Sachar's book. Will Stanley make it out of Camp Green Lake alive?
When Stanley is at Camp Green Lake,no one likes him because he is the new guy. He meets X-Ray, Squid, Armpit, Magnet, ZigZag, and Zero. Zero will only talk to Stanley. Then one day while digging,Zero runs away from Camp Green Lake. The Warden doesn't care because Zero has no family. The next day Stanley runs away and that is a whole different story. What will they do about Stanley when he runs away because he does have a family? What will the Warden do when Stanley's attorney comes to set Stanley free? If you want to find out the answer to these qustions, read this incredible book Holes by Louis Sachar. If I had to rate this book 1-10, I would rate it a 10. I would rate it this because it is a very interesting book. It was very well written too. This is the only book that I've read that I couldn't wait to read the next page to see what was going to happen next. I was hooked! It is the best book ever!
