The Giver is a masterfully made book about a Utopian state that under goes change when a boy is given the job of "The Reciever". The author, Lois Lowery, is a very exellent writer and has won two newberry awards. Now lets get back to the story. MAIN IDEA: A boy (I'm not saying who) gets assigned the honored job of Reciever. The Giver (the last Reciever) must give the boy all the memories of the community. The boy soon learns that there is a thing called color, snow, and many other things he can ownly access in memories because of the Utopian state he lives in. He also learns one secret of the community that changes him dramactly. The Giver is a wonderfull book. Until I review again later!
