mariah writes the following about Witness :
i think this book teaches a valuable lesson to pre-teens like myself and younger kids, about how it doesn't matter what race you are. for instance if a black person walks up to another white person and says i dont like you because your skin color is different the white person would feel discouraged, and it goes the same the other way around and with all races... Another thing it teaches some neat stuff about the civil war and some infermation on how historical that movement was. It also reminds us of the golden rule; do to others as you would want done to you; so i really recommand this book to all of you mistery seekers, history lovers, and just any body looking for a very interresing book.

This book was great and im happy i choose to read it!
