Max is a fourteen year old boy who finds a younger girl named worm and tries to help her escape from her abusive stepfather. So he ends up at her house and busts her out. But he soon finds out that it was a crime. They end up in Chivalry,Montana after hitching a ride. trying to find worm's father, and trying not to get caught.
