This story is about a boy named Phillip. He is experiencing World War 2.Him and his mother wanted to get away and they got on a ship.The ship was bombed and that is when he met Timothy. They got on a raft and went off to a island. Phillip became blind and later on in the story,Timothy died from malaria.
