Bobby Lee the radioactive cow writes the following about Where the Red Fern Grows :
Where the Red Fern Grows is a fantastic story about a boy named Billy & his two red bone hounds named Old Dan & Little Ann. Billy is a young teenage boy that lives on a farm in the Ozark Mountains. Billy has always longed for some hunting hounds. But when Billy's parents can't afford the hounds,Billy has to work extra hard to get those hounds. After all that extra work, Billy orders the hounds & hopes to make them the finest hunting team in the Ozarks. After catching a few coons,Billy enters a hunting contest. After the final round,Billy wins the contest against pro hunters! Just a few weeks after Billy wins the contest, his dogs risk their lives for him & die while fighting a mountain lion. But just before Billy moves to town, next to his dogs' grave grows the sacred Red Fern. I would recommend this book to any young adventurers or thrill seekers. I know that after you read this book that you will agree that Where the Red Fern Grows is a tale of adventure that you will never forget.
