tyler hall writes the following about Hatchet [UNABRIDGED] :
This story is about a thirteen-year.He was going to see his dad in the canadian oil fields. And he was on a plane and the pilot had just had a massive heart attack and it was up to brian to take control of the plane and land it safely. But there was one problem he didn't know where to land it,and he was running out of fuel and he had to decide quick. The plane hit the trees and he pulled back on the plane and finally landed it in a lake. Then he got out of the plane and swam to shore and fell asleep. When he woke up he felt all the pain in his body from the scratchs and bruises all over his body. And when he was finally awake all the mosquittos were bitting him all over his body and they wouldn't stop. The next day he was starting to gather wood to build a fire. And when he finishes the fire he would start to build a shelter for him self.Brian went out to find something to eat and he found berries so he started eating the berries. The next day he was gathering a bounch of berries in a pouch to save in his shelter for another day.The next day he was starting to make a bow and arrow to catch fish and he had to make it sturdy so it wouldn't brake in two. After he had finished the bow and arrow he went and tested it out and try it out on catching fish in the lake. That night a bear came and he scared it off.later in the book a nother plane spotted the plane sticking out of the water and he landed the plane and found brian and toke him home. This book was the best book in the world.
