simon the great writes the following about love that dog :
Love that dog isnt for everybody but it is a very interesting book to read. Normaly the little things are not the best but this book is one of the exeptions becuase she did so much with so little and nothing can say what makes this book so involving it also is really well done she has the personality of the kid done so well becuase when i read it i couldy really connect it was like one of my mates and almost like me like in this sentence......(from the book) If that is a poem about the red wheel barrow and the white chickens then any words can be a poem you've just got to make short lines. Though the poems at first seem stupid the book is in fact really well put together and all the way through she is putting together a poem that is a small part of a kids life and in between are the hints of a teacher pushing a boy from stuborness through to willingness and helping him come to terms with tough events along the way........(from the book) Do you promise not to read it out loud? do you promise not to put it on the whiteboard ok here it it but i dont like it. But the one bad bit is that there is hardly any pictures in it so the reader has no real picture apart from the ones of wich the words make and in some poems its very hard to think of one but i gues thats what your meant to do i gues, and also i have to say it doesnt have a very appealing cover cause im one of those people who judge books on there cover and if i saw this book i wouldnt want to read it. But all together this book is a very interesting read if you decide to get it of the shelf that is and its not for all people its more for the people who like a little read at night and a little luagh.
