Bill Chapman writes the following about Tell Me a Story, Mama :
This book has a very nice story about family and relationships. It demonstrates how attitudes toward family are passed down from one generation to another. While the details will fade with time, the attitudes are with us forever. It is one of my favorite books to read to my children. The colloquial style makes it even more interesting to read. The watercolor illustrations are unique and seem quite appropriate to the story line.
