Francisco S writes the following about The Circuit :
The Circuit is a story of a migrant child that came to california for a better life. He was poor in Mexico and when he came to the U.S. he made it worse. He was in the cotton field and they paid his family 5 cents a pound for cotton. He work to picking straw-berry and grapes. So he have 4 brothers they dont have any kind of toys to palay they play kick the can.I liked it because it is true and have some words in spanish my mom and my dad liked. There is this chapter that I like. The name is Christmas Gift; it's so good. I won't go into all the story because I want you to read it.If you want to read it you can go to a public library.
