TY writes the following about Hoops :

I liked this book because it shows a 'normal' teenager who lives for sports.I shows real life in the way that the main character experiences conflicting emotions and violence outside of his basketball game which he is improving.He is faced with lots of choices and he tries to pick the right ones but his coach needs to keep him on track so that he doesn't end up sold out.
