Violet, Klaus and Summer. All had a happy life. In which they were lucky to live, but luck runs out, as it did for them, when their parents died in a house fire. They were forse to go live with a distant relative, Count Olaf. When they get to Count Olaf's house the only place for all three children to sleep was a mattress, which they all were to share. to make everything worse Count Olaf is after their money which was left behind by their parents.
