I liked the book Hatchet. It was very interesting. I would recommend it for fourth grade and up. It was about a boy, Brian. He was on a flight to Canada to visit his father when everything went wrong. His pilot had a heart attack and Brian was forced to land the plane. He landed it in a lake in the middle of nowhere! He lived off the land for many days and his only tool was a hatchet. It became his best friend. The book was hard to put down since you were never sure he was going to survive. I liked the way Gary Paulsen described Brian's situations. This is a very good book and I would recommend it to anyone.
