This book is about a girl,Mary Lou, has to wighte in a book for school. In the summer her cusin,Carl Ray, and his mistery going on because he is very quiet.Mary Lou has a crush on a boy named Alex and in the middle of the book Alex and Mary Lou become boyfriend girlfriend.Mary Lou's best friend,Beth Ann, goes boy crazy and starts to date Carl Ray. Mary Lou gets stuck with going to West Vregina with Carl Ray.There Mary Lou lerans not to be sellfish. When Mary Lou and Carl Ray come back Beth Ann is so mad at Carl Ray because he never told her where he was going. Cral Ray went to clear the air with Beth Ann. On his way home he got into a carcrash he was uncontngens for about one mouth. His father from WV was by his side the whole time.So in the end Carl Ray wakes up and everybody is so happy that he is alright.
The real reason why Carl Ray came to visit is so that he can find his real father.
Carl Ray was given alot of money and an education.
