DawnKestrel writes the following about The Chronicals Of Narnia :
The Magicians Nephew is about the making of a new world, Narnia. Two children, Polly and Digory, are transported to different worlds when an expedition to an empty house goes badly wrong. Digory's uncle Andrew is a cruel man, and when he tricks Polly into touching a magic ring, Digory has no choice but to follow to save his friend. I think the Magicians Nephew is a must read book. CS Lewis uses great language and has an interesting style of writing. The book is cleverly planned, and the characters are interesting and clearly described. It has a good plot, and will answer any, if not all, of the questions you have about the other books. The Magicians Nephew is a fantasy adventure book, with quite a bit of magic. I think this book would suit all ages from ten upwards. Some of the older language is a bit difficult to understand, but if you do not understand anything, it is usually explained within the next few sentences.
