Jamie writes the following about The Outsiders :
The book "The Outsiders" was a very well writen book, this is my forth time reading this story. Since I've read this book I felt inspired by the plot, the character Johnny was very compelling and played as I feet the most important role aside from Ponyboy. The setting of a tough street added a very imaginative perspective, the characters were thought up and realistic. Dally's tough skin reminds me off a kid I know, he was like Dally he had his run in with the law about once a month. Steve was the only person I didn't like because he reminded me of people who picked on me. The characters Two bit was a humorous person and supposibly very strong, Darry was hardly in the picture but acted like a big-brother to all the members of the gang, Soda seemed to be the senitve one and very emotional. The socs definately were the bad guys for 2 reasons they're stuck up and evil to the geasers. The ending was very well put together, the most important character was poor Johnny if you ask me and a way to make the book better more slang words, some more fights and at the end it didn't really say if the socs left the greasers alone after the rumble.
