Tasia writes the following about The Paper Bag Princess :
The Paper Bag Princess is about a princess named Elizabeth. She was the prettiest princess in all the land. One day, her castle and clothes were burned to ashes by the fiercest and quickest dragon. The dragon flies away with prince Ronald, the prince she is in love with, and she wants him back. Elizabeth sets off on a journey with only a bag as clothing to find the dragon’s castle. When she finds it she bangs on the door. The dragon says come back later, because he is full and loves to eat princesses. So she knocks again and this time she tricks him into doing something so crazy at the end he is way too tired to move. She rescues Prince Ronald but it backfires. Prince Ronald reveals truth about himself to Princess Elizabeth. The moral of the story is when you think you can do something, you can. Robert Munsch wrote a fantastic story supported by beautiful illustrations by Michael Martchenko. I gave this book a 9.5 rating because it was good but it could have been better. If I could improve it I would say to make it longer and have a happier ending.
