RODRICK RULES By: Jeff Kinney Pages: 1-216 Genre: Realistic Fiction The book RODRICK RULES is the sequel to The Diary of a Wimpy Kid and really talks a lot about Greg Heffley who is in middle school and he keeps a dairy that his mom bought him which he calls it a ¡t Journal to him which he writes in about his daily life. His crazy older brother Rodrick got a hold of his other journal and now knows his secret that he tries to keep. Rodrick that knows his secret now has power over Greg and does whatever Rodrick wants him to do at school, home, or anywhere he goes. As they don't get along their mom wants the two boys to spend a little quality time together so she tries to hook them up with board games to play with each other and stuff but later which really doesn't work out. Also how their mom started a thing called ¡t "Mom Bucks" where you can do chores and stuff and cash the fake money in for real money. That's when Greg went to Rowley's house who is his friend to play a board game and found out that the money was exactly the same as mom bucks! Greg's parents were going out for the night which they never do with Rodrick in charge thinking his going to have a huge party but with him with the flu that thought they were fine but no. As soon as they left the door Rodrick got on the phone and called all his friends to come over and Greg thinking it'll be fun getting locked in the basement getting tables! How Rodrick's band got in the school talent show him thinking it was a big accomplishment bragging everywhere and how he thinks he can quit school and become a full time band player! There are more if you read the book. I give the book a 10 on a scale out from 1-10 because the book is written in a comic way and is hilarious and has cool adventures in it. A 10 because the book was interesting and got me hooked in and was really good. I would not change anything to this book because it was good the way it was.
