annabanana writes the following about The Tale of Despereaux :
The Tale of Despereaux is a book written by Kate Dicamillo. This book is easy to follow because it had very short chapters and pictures in it. Also because the words were big and I could understand it. This book was exciting because there are some very interesting parts in the book. The characters were relistic except the mice and rats because in real life they can't talk. I think the author told me what hard words to understand was, and the author also made scenes in the book to make me thinkof how hard it was to be a mouse. This book was unbelievable because this could never happen with a princess and a mouse.

The Tale of Despereaux is a story about a mouse named Despereaux, a princess, a king, a rat, soup, red string and a needle, and a servant girl. The setting is in a castle. The fate of the princess finally comes into Despereaux's paws. He has to go through dangerous obstacles in the castle to save the princess from a evil rat and a servant girl named Mig. Can he save the princess in time before it's to late. Read the book to find out.
