Prisca writes the following about Hatchet [UNABRIDGED] :
I like the book because it tellS you so many thingS about how Brian helped himself to survive and be alive. And yes I think other kids would love the book because it will help the kids to learn about how to survive. THE only reason I love this book is because it will help me survive or be alive where I can get lost like Brian did. And I like the idea that Brian did it when he was a 13 year old boy who was going to visit his father and got lost in the plane crash and didn't know how to fly the plane. Brian learned how to find food, water, and shelter. And Brian tried to make himself a home.
