Mallycat writes the following about The Giver :

I could not stand the fact that the Community uses euthanization on the Elderly, miscreants, and newchildren. It is too sad. I hate this book, but because ms. lowry spend a while on it i gave it a 4-
it may not deserve it but i am a nice person. Whatever you do DO NOT READ THIS BOOK
