Riding in the cars with boys was an intersitng story. It was about a single mother, with a dream of becoming a writer. She has a son at the age of 15 in 1965. And the father of the son is a drug-addicted. Beverly grew up intellgent with a father who would listen to her problems and a mother who was a nervous woman. Beverly wanted to attend collage in New York, and become a writer. She went through problems when she turned 15 and got pregnant with a boy in her high school. She dropped out of high school living in an apartment with her husband and her child. Her husband gets addicted to herion, left her alone to take her of her child while he was in the war. She puts her son in school and went to get help. She took a test to start collage, passed it and went on to start collage after being a single parent mom.
