Sara writes the following about King of the Wind :
I gave King of the Wind a 1o out of 10. I gave it 10 ut of 10 because it held my interest and I could see what was happening even though it didn't have very many illustrations. I might have improved the illustrations because there weren't very many of them. The book espcially held my interest when Agba was sent to jail because I wanted to know what would happen to him. Other books by Marguerite Henry were good, but I think this one was definitly my favorite. If could change anything in this story, I would change it so that Agba could sreak. When Agba can't talk it is hard to understand what is happening. The only way you know what he is thinking is through the discriptions given about his facial expressions. This leaves a lot of interpreting up to the individual readeras to what he is feeling and thinking. Which made it hard for me at times to understand his charcter. I would change it so that Agba could talk if I wer to make any changes to this story. If I were to compare King of the Wind to another Marguerite Henry book, Misty of Chincoteague,I believe that King of the Wind would be a better book to read. The adventureand excitment are the main reasons this Marguerite Henry book is my favorite. However I enjoyed this authors other books in different ways. The genre of King of the Wind is historical fiction. I think King of the Wind compared to Misty of Chinciteague, is much better book to read.
