Courtney DeShaney writes the following about Hatchet :

i like this book. it is a good book to read when you don't have anything to read. it is about this boy that was on his way to see his father in Canda. The plane plaet has having a heart attack. also he was stuck in the middle of no where. he had to find food, shelter, fire, and lots of stuff campers have to do but amybe a little more. he didn't want to go far from his camp site. he was there for 52 days in the woods. He didn't know where he was. He got found by the plane that was by him.
