Caroline writes the following about The Perfect Mile: :
The Perfect Mile is about 3 men who tried to break the barrier of 4 minutes in the mile. They trained every way possible, to push themsevles beyond the limit. When they set this goal, almost all their life was devoted to achieving it. Roger Bannister, the first to finally break 4:00, at 3:59 was an English medical student. John Landy was a priveliged Australian who was purely devoted to it. It was his goal in life. He and Roger Bannister were amazing people. The American, Wes Santee, just thought he was better than everyone else, so he said, "I can break four minutes". Read the book to find out if they all succeed. I think the book was very well written, a very inspiring story to anyone, not just atheletes. If you want to do something, this book proves that when you try hard enough, you will get it. It is my favorite non-fiction book, even favorite, because of the inspiration.
