Jaime writes the following about Bakers' Dozen :
I thought that this was a very good book. The reason I thought this was a good book was because it is like a reality story. This story was about a girl who lived in a foster home. She lived in three different houses before she found the one that was for her. Mrs. Taylor was the one who brought Patty to her new house. When Patty came to the Baker house, she was a little scared when there were kids running all over the place. Patty walked up to the house with Mrs. Taylor and in the door way stood Mrs. Baker. Mrs. Baker showed Patty up to her room. Hilary was the one she was sharing a room with. The next day she was told by Mrs. Baker that they were going to have a welcome dinner just for Patty. Patty had mess up twice already. Then at about 1:00 o'clock that evening she didn't smell a pot roast or any other food for her welcome dinner. So then she had a feeling that she was going to get sent back to the children's center, because she had messed up. The time before at the last house she was sent back for messing up. That is why Patty is scared she will be sent back.
