Bridget! writes the following about Patience, Princess Catherine :
This book is about Queen Catherine of Aragon, when she was young. If you didn't know already, she is the first wife of King Henry VIII. Anyway, it starts out in Spain, Catherine's old country. She is told she will be married to Prince Arthur, when she and him are old enough. Then, she starts off to England. When she gets there, she hates England. She barely speaks any English, and her future husband doesn't speak Spanish! So they speak Latin to each other. Also, she has to change her name from Catalina, which is the Spanish version of Catherine, to Catherine. Then they marry. Catherine of Aragon is now a princess. But Arthur gets sick, and not long after the marriage, he dies. So Catherine marries Henry, Arthur's younger brother. They are married for about forty years, but then he falls for Anne Boleyn, a strange lady, who the English people didn't like. They thought she was a witch. Henry wanted the Pope to give him and Catherine an anullment. The Pope refused, so he converted his religion to Anne's religion. Anne later gets beheaded. This book is a great book, and I was very interested the whole time I was reading it.
