Overall it was a great book. It is about a boy named Max Sumner and his best friends Ernie, Harley, And Natalia. They live a mostly normal life until one day Max finds a magic book called the Codex and all the monsters from a card game they play start to become real. Max and his friends have to protect their town from monsters and make sure no one finds out, but they aren't alone, they have many unsuspected people help along the way. Can they do it, or will all their efforts be in vain?
