ZZ12 writes the following about Lost in America :
The book I am reading is called Lost in America. I love this book it’s terrific because it talks about the French War and what happened to all the Jews. I chose this book because I thought that it would be interesting to read about and I wanted to know when it ended and why they had started the war in France. The book was very interesting and it was about a 13 year-old girl who lives in France with her mom, dad, and little sister. When her other Jewish friend François leaves for the United States she spends the night with her and they talk late saying that she is going to miss her very much and that she hopes she will be ok. Nicole leaves for school in the morning and finds out that her family is gone. Her housekeeper says that the Germans ha taken them. The French people couldn’t hide the Jews because if they did then they will be taken away as well. I rate this book 10 out of 10 because it taught a very good lesson and that what happened to Jews in the early 1940’s. The book has about 145 pages. The book was written by Sonia Levitin.
