Soul Surfer is about a girl named Bethany Hamilton. Bethany is a young teenage girl who loves to surf. She describes it as her life. One day, she and her friend Alana go to surf. Something tragic happens to Bethany, leaving herself and everyone else wondering if she’ll ever be able to surf again. All she can depend on now is her strength, family, friends and faith. I rate this book and 8. I feel that the book isn’t really on my reading level, but I enjoyed it. It gives me the strength to do anything, knowing that Bethany gets by well everyday with only one arm. It also helped me see the better side of life and how lucky I truly am. I recommend this book to boys and girls. Hopefully, it will inspire them too.
