Lucas writes the following about Holes [UNABRIDGED] :
Holes
L.A.E
“You and your children and their children can dig for the next hundred years and never find it”. Holes is a book about treasures, holes, friendship, and bad luck. It is a very good book because it makes you wonder what will happen next. This is because of the daily events that happen at Camp Green Lake. A fight starts there so that would be a good example.
Stanley Yelnats is sent to Camp Green Lake because of his great great grandfather. He put a curse on the Yelnats’ family. This curse is a curse of eternal bad luck. Because of that, a pair of shoes falls from the sky and that causes him to go to jail. The pair belonged to a baseball star. At Camp Green Lake, you have to dig holes that are 5 ft. deep and 5 ft. wide. They also have to be aware of the yellow-spotted lizards. It is a really good book so I hope you read it.
