Elmo (S.R.C.) writes the following about The Wizard of Oz :
Have you ever been thrown into a trench with sharp socks at the bottom, or captured by a wicked witch keeping you as her slave? This may not have happened to you but it did happen to these four friends. L. Frank Baum’s novel, The Wizard of OZ is one of the best books I have ever read! The characters seem so real but imaginative and fake at the same time.

One character is a kind scarecrow who only wishes for brains and is finally getting a chance to do so. Two others are the cowardly lion and the tin woodman. The cowardly lion hopes to get courage and the tin woodman wants a heart so that he can marry and love the women of his dreams. Last but not least is Dorothy. She has landed in this strange place and wants to go back to Kansas. As these friends travel on an amazing journey they will encounter many dangerous things like the enormous bear-like Kalidahs
and the winged monkeys. Find out if the four will fail and be trapped forever or overcome their fears and seek what they truly desire.
