Nathan writes the following about A Boy At War :
"A Boy at War" was a pritty good book. It was writen by Harry Mazer. It's mostly about a boy named Adam. Adam had to move to Hawii with his family to be with his dad. Adam has a working mom, a little sister named Bea amd his father who's in the navy. Since his fathers in the navy they think of their home as a ship and they go by navy rules too. Later, Adam makes friends with a japeneas kid named Davi and a hawiian kid named Martin, who go fishing in Pearl Harbor.

While they're fishing they get attacked by japenease fighters. Davi gets hit by a sailor and Martin gets a piece of wood shot into his chest. Adam gets mistaken for a sailor and helps some of the victoms. Then he's in the mereans. After staying on guard for awile he runs home to check on his mom and his sister. After going home he meets back up with Davi and they go to see Matin who had to go to the hospital. I really liked this book and I hope after reading this you may cunsiter reading the book.
