Adam DePolo writes the following about Crash :
In the book Crash by Jerry Spinelli, a boy named John Coogen aslo known as Crash Coogen
deals with his life from 3rd to 8th grade. Crash Coogen is a star football player for his city.
He is one of the best football players I have ever heard of. Crash meats a kid named Penn
Webb who Crashes friend Mike likes to pick on, although Crash picks on Penn to. A man named Scooter comes to live with the
Coogen's. He has a stroke when he was playing with Crash'es little sister, but he turns out to
live although he forgets things and he has to learn how to do things again. Crash hated his
Christmas because of Scooter. Scooter always made Christmas fun and he always made good meals.
All Crash got for Christmas was football clothes which didn't surprise me at all. At the end
Crash figures out that Penn is his friend not a wimp.
This book is great thats why I gave it a 9.6 rating.
