I read Romiette and Julio for a school book report, and didn't enjoy most of the book. Sharon M. Draper did a poor job of making a interesting climax. I loved the rising action, but it lead up to a poorly written climax. I guess it is her job to keep her readers interesting, but she didn't reward the reader with a enjoyable ending and climax. When reading a book, there should be a great difference between rising action, and the climax, but in Romiette and Julio that was not determined.
I also thought that a large majority of the rising action was interesting, but it starts to get boring. If I didn't have to read the rest I would have put the book down after it started to drag on.
You may think that I am being very critical, but the point of the website is to tell readers your opinion of the book yuou read. I thought that I might warn you before you pick this book up for a school book report, because you will want to stop reading this book, but can't. That is the mistake I made. So hopefully you willl take my opinion of Romiette and Julio with you before you make that mistake, because you will regret it.
