I think this book was great, but when Rinko's dog got shot, I almost had a tear coming down my cheek. Yoshiko Uchida has done a fabulous job on this book explaining that we're all the same on the inside. I liked this book because it teaches a moral and shows how some people are treated in reality and made to feel bad. I hope some people have been inspired by this book.
I would recommend this book for 8-12 yr olds.
