Ham-String writes the following about CRASH :
I thought that the book was quite interesting, even though I was forced to read it by my English/Language Arts teacher. It was about a kid named john who went by the nickname Crash. he was in the 7th grade and lived in Pennsylvania.(You might want to check that location.)He was a jock who played football and ran track. He broke a school record of so many TD's for the football season. He also out did a Quaker boy named Penn Web. Crash and his buddy Mike were jerks when it came to friendship with Penn. They were always playing mean tricks on the also seventh grade cheerleader. They did things like put mustard in his shoes. Jane Forbes was the only one who was actually nice to Penn. She was also a cheerleader and helped Penn wash out his shoes. Eventually they got "fired" from the cheer squad because they were missing practices and games to help protest a mini mall that was being built.
