Wow! writes the following about Out of the Dust (Newbery Medal Book) :
This story is about a girl named Bille Jo.She lived in Oklahoma during the Dustbowl. She feels guilty for the death of her mother and her brother. She and her father won't talk. She hopped on a train and headed for Calafornia.Billie Jo realized she needed her father,so she turned around and headed for "OKLAHOMA"!After a while she met a honeybun named,"Louise".She then realized she could have other people in her life.
The author described this book very well. But she didn't describe the mother and brother very well. She did derscibe Bayard(father) and Billie Jo very well. This book is a great description of the dustbowl.I strongly recommend thisbook to other readers. This book has great details. It also has great imagery.
