amanda writes the following about Out of the Dust (Newbery Medal Book) :
Out of the Dust is a book about a girl named Billie Jo who has had a hectic life growing up.Her mom has passed away. Her father is having a hard adjusting to this.Finnally Billie Jo just can't take it anymore. So she runs away from the Dust Bowl and jumps on a train. She thinks about the hard times her father have been though and heads home. She meets a lady who happens to be her father's fiance and thinks she is going to crowd her out of her father's life. But it all turns out fine.

The strenths of this book is the desciption and the mood.It shows you that life can be hard. I believe there are no weaknesses in this book. You will not want to let go of this book!
I recomend this book to others. This book is unforgetable. It really shows you that life isn't perfect. You really need to read this book with out any dought. This book is a wonderful peice of work.
