natalie writes the following about Number the Stars :

I believe that this novel is one of the best books out there. I first read this book in the third grade and now I'm a freshman in high school. Although I know what happens I'm still thrilled everytime to see what happens. I would also like you to know that I've read Gathering Blue, and the Giver but Number the Stars is my personal favorite.I like your books because they create an imagination like no other author, you are brillantly unique.
