Everyone thinks that high school isn't that big of a deal. For Scott Hudson, it is a very big deal. Scott had no friends. The only good part of the first day of high school was a girl named Julia. Scott was best friends with her in kindergarten and hasn't seen her since. She was a lot prettier now. Scott tries many things to get her to notice him. Scott also has to deal with a bully. After all of the crazy things going on because of high school, he finds out that his mom is going to have a baby! Scott starts to keep a journal to record what you should and shouldn't do in high school. Do you think that Scott can survive the whole year in high school?

I would rate this book a 9 because this was a very interesting a funny book. It had some very good parts in it. But it also had some slow parts that I didn’t care for. If I could change something, I would change the beginning because that was one or the slow parts. The beginning was also not very interesting. The book got better the closer you got to the end.
