chopstick21 writes the following about Sleeping Freshman Never Lie :
Sleeping Freshman Never Lie By: David Lubar Pages: 3-279 Genre: Realistic Fiction The book Sleeping Freshman Never Lie is mainly about a boy named Scott and his first high school year. His friends Kyle, Patrick, and Mitch and a girl named Julia that he likes. Through high school a lot things happen like how he changed about reading books and now he really enjoys it a lot after he was introduced to it by a kid named Robby. Through that he is really good in English class because of coming up with good ideas and reads a whole lot. Also became the schools newspaper editor because of his talents. Scott also wants to be the first one in his family to go to college since his older brother nor did his parents so he wants to make a difference. His family was with a surprise as his mom was pregnant with a baby brother which got him happy and started to write to him about his crazy days in the world! Just as everything starts to settle down with the high school bullies and stuff his best friend moves away because of his dads business to Japan. Also this new girl that has piercing all over her face and is like Emo girl named Lee likes the same common thing as him which is books but not the same type of genre you would say keeps talking too him! If things can’t get worse he gets joined into a play to see the girl he has a crush on but really doesn’t! The relationship with his friends are getting further apart since none of them have the same classes and this guy he knows as mouth because he talks a lot tries to commit suicide but survives and finds a pretty shocking secret about his brother that you need to read to find out. There are more things happing in the book if you read it! I give this book a 10 rating because it was a good book and was filled with things happening and had a good plot and was really good at problems and how it was funny and had great ideas that the characters in the book had to face and solve. It was different on how the character faced there problems and was wanting to know how they were going to solve it. I would change on the stuff that the author didn’t have as many funny parts to me as much but had some cool features to it.
